About modification and amendments in the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About metrology" in connection with attraction of private sector to the sphere of carrying out checking of measuring instruments

In our country large-scale reforms on enhancement of system of standardization, metrology and certification, system implementation of international standards in these spheres are undertaken.
With respect thereto there is need of broad attraction of private sector to the sphere of rendering metrological services and provision more opportunities for its active participation in this sphere along with the state organizations.
This Law makes changes and additions to the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About metrology", providing rendering services in checking of measuring instruments by the metrological services of legal entities which are not republican executive bodies and bodies of economic board, approval of the list of groups of measuring instruments by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan which results of measurements have the state value, and also separation of functions of metrological control and state metrological supervision.
This Law will serve creating favorable conditions for development of private entrepreneurship and to forming of active competitive environment in the field of metrology.
Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About metrology" of December 28, 1993 No. 1004-XII (in edition of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan of April 7, 2020 No. ZRU-614) (Sheets of chambers of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, 2020, No. 4, Art. 254; 2021, appendix to No. 4; 2023, No. 2, Art. 106) following changes and amendments:
1) in Article 7:
the fifth to state the paragraph in the following edition:
"coordinates activities of republican executive bodies and bodies of economic board in the field of metrological activities";
add with the paragraph the seventh the following content:
