About modification and amendments in the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of January 17, 2024 No. UP-14 "About Measures for Ordering of Production of Nonmetallic Materials in Reservoirs" aimed at providing ecological safety in line with the Syr Darya River
For the purpose of ensuring the sequence of measures for protection of water basins of the country and ecological safety in case of projects implementation of clearing of beds from the collected nonmetallic materials and shore protection of the Syr Darya River:
1. Make change and addition to the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of January 17, 2024 No. UP-14 "About Measures for Ordering of Production of Nonmetallic Materials in Reservoirs" providing:
about the May 1, 2024 introduction of the termless moratorium on production of nonmetallic materials in line with the Syr Darya River, and also strengthening of damage liability put to the nature as a result of illegal production of nonmetallic materials;
implementation of measures for shore protection of the Syr Darya River, to recovery and rehabilitation of the damaged lands in coastal strips.
2. To impose control of execution of this Decree on the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. N. Aripov.
