About additional measures for fight against degradation of lands of agricultural purpose, support of increase in content of humus in the soil and its fertility

For the purpose of prevention of negative impact of climate change in the republic, decrease in degradation of agricultural holdings, increases in productivity of crops and fertility of soils by increase in content of humus in the soil:

1. Implement procedure according to which in 2024-2025 as experiment to land users (including to clusters) for agrotechnical actions for increase in fertility of soils and productivity, including contents of humus on cotton squares, will be allocated to subsidy in the amount of one million sum for hectare at the expense of means of the Government budget. At the same time:

allocation of subsidies is performed by the Ministry of Agriculture through "Information system of agrosubsidies";

in 2024 70 percent of originally calculated subsidy are allocated for carrying out measures for increase in fertility of soils and productivity on cotton squares;

other 30 percent of subsidy are allocated in 2025 based on the conclusion of Council for cotton growing in case of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan about increase in productivity on average by 10 percent of rather previous season.

2. And finance to provide to the Ministry of Agriculture together with the Ministry of Economics timely allocation of subsidies, the stipulated in Item 1 this resolution, at the expense of the funds allocated according to parameters of the Government budget for 2024.

3. For the purpose of increase in content of humus in the soil according to requests of the Ministry of Agriculture for agrotechnical actions, if necessary, to resolve since September, 2024 allocation of soft credits from Fund of the state support of agricultural industry under the Ministry of Economics and finance for harvest of cotton of 2025.

4. Approve structure of the Republican commission on fight against degradation of lands of agricultural purpose and to increase in fertility of soils according to appendix.
