About measures for the effective organization of activities of the Agency for atomic energy under the Cabinet of Ministers

For the purpose of ensuring execution of the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of May 24, 2024 No. UP-79 "About Measures for Enhancement of System of Public Administration and Control in the field of Use of Subsoil, Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, and also Use of Atomic Energy":

1. Approve:

The main activities of the Agency on atomic energy under the Cabinet of Ministers according to appendix No. 1;

Organizational structure of the Agency on atomic energy under the Cabinet of Ministers according to appendix No. 2.

2. Determine that:

a) the director of the Agency of atomic energy under the Cabinet of Ministers (further - the Agency) according to the status is equated to the first deputy minister;

b) heads of the organizations in system of the Agency are appointed to position and dismissed by the director of the Agency in coordination with the Cabinet of Ministers;

c) In its system within projects in the field of nuclear power it is allowed to the agency and the organizations:

sign direct contracts with the companies specialized on rendering necessary services including marketing, engineering and other services, in case of development of concepts, parameters and conditions of projects;

create (to participate in the authorized capital) economic societies and to sign direct contracts with these societies;

participate in financing of projects in economy industries.

3. Transform Fund of development of nuclear power under Agency on development of nuclear power in case of the Department of Energy to Fund of development of the sphere of use of atomic energy under the Agency (further - Fund).
