About measures for the effective organization of activities of Committee of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety under the Cabinet of Ministers

According to the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of May 24, 2024 No. UP-79 "About Measures for Enhancement of System of Public Administration and Control in the field of Use of Subsoil, Industrial, Radiation and Nuclear Safety, and also Use of Atomic Energy":

1. Approve:

The main activities of Committee of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety under the Cabinet of Ministers according to appendix No. 1;

Organizational structure of Committee of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety under the Cabinet of Ministers according to appendix No. 2;

"Road map" on establishing activities of Committee of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety under the Cabinet of Ministers and to enhancement of the state control in the field of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety according to appendix No. 3*.

2. Form:

in structure of Committee of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety under the Cabinet of Ministers (further - Committee) - the Department of radiation and nuclear safety (further - Department) financed by means of the Government budget without formation of legal entity;

under Committee - Scientific and technological center of radiation and nuclear safety (further - the Center) in the form of public institution.

3. Approve the Main objectives of Department of radiation and nuclear safety of Committee of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety under the Cabinet of Ministers according to appendix No. 4.

4. Determine that:

a) the vice-chairman of Committee at the same time is department head;

b) officials of Committee when implementing the state control have the right:

easy access to objects under control to Committee;

control observance of requirements of industrial, radiation and nuclear safety on hazardous production facilities;
