Based on subitem 9.4 of Item 9 of the Regulations on the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus approved by the Presidential decree of the Republic of Belarus of December 4, 2007 No. 611, of Item 18 of the Regulations on identity documents approved by the Presidential decree of the Republic of Belarus of June 3, 2008 No. 294, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus DECIDES:
1. Establish technical requirements to photos for the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Belarus according to appendix 1.
2. Recognize invalid resolutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus according to appendix 2.
3. Approve the Instruction about procedure for the organization of work on issue, accounting, exchange, recognition invalid, to withdrawal, storage, destruction of the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Belarus it (is applied).
4. This resolution becomes effective after its official publication.

Technical requirements to photos for the passport of the citizen of the Republic of Belarus
1. The cliche size for photo printing constitutes 40 x 50 mm.
2. The size of the photos prepared for gluing (scanning) constitutes 35 x 45 mm (on sawn-off shotgun).

Availability on face, neck, articles of clothing photographed (within cliche for photo printing) the symbolics which is not registered in accordance with the established procedure (except jewelry and costume jewelry), and also photography in uniform is not allowed. Photography in dark (sun-protection) glasses is not allowed (except disabled people with sight violations). The image in the photo shall correspond to age photographed at the time of submission of documents.
8. In case of production of photos only the technical retouch is allowed. The image in the photo shall be accurate, breaks, scratches, violation of emulsion layer are not allowed, flow, different types of veil.
