About introduction of amendments to some laws of Ukraine concerning increase in safety and quality of foodstuff

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decides:

I. Make changes to such laws of Ukraine:

1. Part the second article 6 of the Law of Ukraine "About milk and dairy products" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2004, No. 47, Art. 513; 2014, 727) after words of "not milk origin" to add Art. No. 20-21, with the words "including vegetable fats, oils".

2. In the Law of Ukraine "About the basic principles and requirements to safety and quality of foodstuff" (Sheets of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, 2014, No. 41-42, of Art. 2024 with the following changes):

Part one of Article 1 to add 1) with Item 86-2 of the following content:

"86-2) transfat acids - all geometrical isomers polyunsaturated or monounsaturated fatty acids which have at least one double carbon communication (-C-C-) in transconfiguration because of interruption at least by one methylene group (-CH2-CH2-)";

Article 20 to add 2) with part nine of the following content:

"9. Operators of the market who deliver the foodstuff which is not intended for the final consumer or not intended for delivery to institutions of retail trade, including electronic trading shall provide to other operators of the market information on content of transfatty acids which are not transfatty acids which naturally contain in fats of animal origin if their content in foodstuff exceeds 2 grams on 100 grams of total quantity of all fats containing in foodstuff";

3) to include part in Article 32 third of the following content:

"3. During production of foodstuff in Ukraine it is forbidden:

1) use of the hydrogenated vegetable fats and oils, palm stearin in production of baby food;
