The frontier cooperation is one of the most effective ways of transition to real integration, efficient reserve for completion of forming of the Customs union and the Common economic space, and also social and economic development of the border territories, increase in business activity, employment and living standards of the population.
Border interaction of the adjacent states of EurAsEC is regulated by the Agreement on the basic principles of frontier cooperation of the State Parties of the Agreement on deepening of integration signed on February 26, 1999 in economic and humanitarian areas of March 29, 1996, bilateral international treaties, and also agreements between border regions.
