About youth and children's public organizations

This Law determines features of the organizational and legal basis of education and activities of youth and children's public organizations and the state guarantees of ensuring their activities.

Article 1. Legislation of Ukraine on youth and children's public organizations

The legislation of Ukraine on youth and children's public organizations consists of the Constitution of Ukraine, the Law of Ukraine "About consolidation of citizens", this Law and other regulatory legal acts adopted in their execution.

Article 2. Determination of terms

In this Law terms are used in such value:

youth public organizations - consolidation of citizens age from 14 to 35 years which purpose is implementation of the activities directed to satisfaction and protection of the legitimate social, economic, creative, spiritual and other common interests;

children's public organizations - consolidation of citizens age from 6 to 18 years which purpose is implementation of the activities directed to realization and protection of the rights and freedoms, creative capability, satisfaction of own interests which do not contradict the legislation, and social formation as full-fledged members of society.

Article 3. Principles of education and activities of youth and children's public organizations

Youth and children's public organizations are formed and operate on bases of voluntariness, equality of their members, self-government, legality and publicity, in particular:
