About establishment of minimum pension on age for persons with labor activity at least 40 years

Based on part (1-1) articles 12 of the Law No. 156/1998 on the public pension system (repeated publication: The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2004, Art. No. 42-44, 247), with subsequent changes, DECIDES: the Government

1. The minimum pension on age for persons whose insurance years of service constitute at least 40 years is established in the amount of 3 300 lei.

2. In the Regulations on procedure for calculation of pensions and on procedure for confirmation of insurance years of service for purpose of pensions approved by the Order of the Government No. 165/2017 (Official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2017, Art. No. 85-91, 235), with subsequent changes, to make the following changes:

2.1. in item 4 to state the concept "minimum pension" of the following edition:

"minimum pension - the fixed amount guaranteed by the state, provided based on article 12 of the Law No. 156/1998 on the public pension system;";

2.2. state Item 9 in the following edition:

"9. If the pension size estimated in case of the complete insurance years of service provided in part (1) article 42 of the Law No. 156/1998 on the public pension system is, less, than the minimum size of pension, the minimum pension provided in part (1) article 12 of this law is established, and in case of persons who confirm insurance years of service at least 40 years the minimum pension provided in part (11) article 12 of the specified law is established".

3. To national cash desk of social insurance to bring into accord the size of minimum pension for receivers of old-age pensions which acquired at least 40 years of insurance years of service, established before entry into force of this resolution, with minimum pension which will be applied since May 1, 2025.

4. This resolution becomes effective on May 1, 2025.
