About approval of Rules of registration of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan

According to subitem 6-4) of article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About population shift" I ORDER:

1. Approve the enclosed Rules of registration of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

2. To provide to committee of migratory service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the procedure established by the legislation:

1) state registration of this order in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

2) placement of this order on Internet resource of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan after its official publication.

3. To impose control of execution of this order on the supervising deputy minister of internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. This order becomes effective since July 1, 2026 and is subject to official publication.

Order of registration of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Chapter 1. General provision

1. These rules of registration of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan (further - Rules) are developed according to subitem 6-4) of article 9 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About population shift" and determine order of registration of immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan (further - registration of the immigrant).

2. In these rules the following basic concepts are used:

1) the immigrant - the foreigner or the stateless person which arrived to the Republic of Kazakhstan for temporary or permanent residence;
