About carrying out extracorporal fertilization

In connection with the announcement of 2026 Year of the Belarusian woman and for the purpose of expansion of availability of auxiliary reproductive technologies:

1. Determine that to the women who are not married and being citizens of the Republic of Belarus in the state organizations of health care two attempts of extracorporal fertilization are free of charge provided to married couples in which both spouses are citizens of the Republic of Belarus and (further - EKO) in case of observance of the following conditions:

availability of the medical indications determined by the Ministry of Health and lack of medical contraindications to use of auxiliary reproductive technologies;

lack of medical indications to application of the EKO procedure with use of donor gametes at spouses or with use of donor ovum at the woman who is not married;

the age of the woman does not exceed 40 years if other is not provided by part two of this Item;

acquisition on paid basis of spermatozoa of the anonymous donor the woman who is not married.

If the first attempt of EKO provided free of charge comes to an end with the child's birth, for the woman the right to carrying out the second free EKO before achievement of age of 49 years by it remains in case of observance of the conditions specified in paragraphs the second, third and fifth to part one of this Item.

The total quantity of free attempts of EKO provided to the woman cannot exceed two.

The procedure for provision of free attempts of EKO and financing of expenses on their carrying out at the expense of means of the republican budget, the list of the state organizations of health care to whom free EKO is carried out are determined by Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.

2. Make changes to presidential decrees of the Republic of Belarus (appendix).
