3. To impose control of execution of this order on the supervising Vice-Minister of Industry and construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

4. This order becomes effective after ten calendar days after day of its first official publication.

Rules of staging of exploration works

Chapter 1. General provisions

1. These rules of staging of exploration works (further - Rules) are developed according to Item 9 of article 74 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "About subsoil and subsurface use" (further - the Code) and determine procedure for staging of exploration works.

2. Staging of exploration works includes exploration works on types of minerals:

solid minerals;

underground waters;

hydrocarbon minerals (further - hydrocarbons).

3. Division of prospecting process into stages is carried out for the purpose of establishment of the rational sequence of accomplishment of work types and general valuation principles of their results on unified methodical basis for increase in efficiency of exploration works and use of resources of subsoil.

Chapter 2. Procedure for staging of exploration works on solid minerals

4. The complete cycle of exploration works includes five stages:

1) regional geological studying of subsoil;

2) search works;

3) estimative works (conceptual technical and economic assessment, SS);

4) investigation of fields:

preliminary investigation (preliminary feasibility statement, PFS);
