Article 1. Bring in the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "About mountain regions of the Republic of Tajikistan" of July 22, 2013 (Akhbori of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, 2013, No. 7, Art. 531; 2021, No. 12, h 2, Art. 703) following changes and amendments:
1. In the paragraph the second Article 4 of the word of "natural resources" shall be replaced with words "natural resources and non-material objects of historical and cultural heritage".
2. State Article 6-1 in the following edition:
Article 6-1. Environmental protection and non-material objects of historical and cultural heritage in mountain regions
1. In mountain regions under special protection there are natural ecological systems, natural landscapes, biodiversity and non-material objects of historical and cultural heritage.
2. Use of certain sites of the mountain regions which are habitats endemic, rare and being under the threat of disappearance of objects of fauna, and also the locations of non-material objects of historical and cultural heritage, for the purpose of preserving biodiversity and objects of historical and cultural heritage is forbidden.
3. Construction works, placement of objects of economic activity and other economic activity in mountain regions which can make negative impact on the environment and objects of historical and cultural heritage are allowed after receipt of the positive conclusion of the state environmental assessment.".
3. In Article 8:
- to exclude from paragraph one of the word "forming and";
- state paragraph two in the following edition:
"-coordination of activities of state bodies and public associations for realization of state policy about mountain regions;";
- word in paragraph four of "target programs" shall be replaced with words "documents of strategic planning".
