About accomplishment of the Convention on prohibition of development, production, accumulating and use of chemical weapon and its destruction

For the purpose of accomplishment of the Convention on prohibition of development, production, accumulating and use of chemical weapon and its destruction from 13 Turkmenbashi of 1993 I decide:

1. Assign to the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan functions of National authority on accomplishment of the Convention on prohibition of development, production, accumulating and use of chemical weapon and its destruction from 13 Turkmenbashi of 1993 (the Convention is referred to as) and to approve Regulations on it (appendix No. 1).

2. To the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan:

create under the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan the Coordination center for accomplishment of the Convention for interaction with Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and other State Parties of the Convention (further the Coordination center);

establish staff of the Coordination center within the number of staff established for central office of the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan;

provide the Coordination center according to requirements of the Convention service and laboratory premises, property, technical and vehicles.

3. To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Defence of Turkmenistan in week time to make offers on appointment of the permanent representative of Turkmenistan under Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (the Hague, the Kingdom of the Netherlands).

4. Assign to the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan accomplishment of functions on assistance to the Ministry of Defence to Turkmenistananatsionalny body for accomplishment of the Convention according to appendix No. 2.

5. To the Ministry of Economics and finance of Turkmenistan to provide financing of expenses of activities of the Coordination center and payment of the membership fees in the budget of Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
