About tobacco smoking restriction

This Federal Law determines the legal basis of tobacco smoking restriction for the purpose of decrease in population morbidity.

Article 1. Basic concepts

For the purposes of this Federal Law the following basic concepts are used:

tobacco products - products for smoking, chewing or the shuffings packed into consumer pack, including filtered cigarettes, non-filtered cigarettes, cigarettes, cigars, cigarillos, pipe tobacco, smoking tobacco, rustic tobacco-krupka smoking;

tobacco smoking - inhalation of smoke of smoldering tobacco products;

nicotine - the substance containing in tobacco;

pitch - one of tobacco combustion products arising in the course of smoking and promoting emergence of diseases;

environmental tobacco smoke - the tobacco smoke containing in atmospheric air of the enclosed space in which tobacco smoking is performed.

Article 2. Legislation of the Russian Federation on tobacco smoking restriction

The legislation of the Russian Federation on tobacco smoking restriction consists of this Federal Law, other Federal Laws and other regulatory legal acts of the Russian Federation.

Article 3. Regulation of activities for tobacco products manufacture, wholesale trade by tobacco products and retail sale of tobacco products
