About measures for social protection of the population in connection with increase in rates for electrical energy

Due to the increase in rates for electrical energy and for the purpose of social protection of the population the Government DECIDES:

1. Ceased to be valid

2. Establish for residential customers from the rural sector (the village and the commune according to appendices No. 2, 3 and 4 to the Law No. 764-XV of December 27, 2001 on the administrative-territorial device of the Republic of Moldova), since August 1, 2007 and till December 31, 2007, compensation for covering of expenses on payment of electrical energy in amount up to 60 kWh (inclusive) in month on one house (apartment).

3. The amount of compensations provided according to Item 2 of this resolution is determined at the rate of 100 percent of difference between the new established rate for electrical energy and rate which was applied till August 1, 2007.

4. To the Union Fenosa group (PEAK of JSC RE-Chisinau, PEAK of JSC RED-Centru, PEAK of JSC RED-Sud), AO "RED-Nord" and AO "RED-Nord-Vest" to calculate, according to Items 2 and 3 of this resolution, the amount of payment for the delivered electrical energy with indication of in personal accounts of residential customers of compensation amounts.

5. To cover the expenses connected with provision of the specified compensations due to the assignments provided in the government budget for 2007 by direct transfers to the Union Fenosa Group (PEAK of JSC RE-Chisinau, PEAK of JSC RED-Centru, PEAK of JSC RED-Sud), AO "RED-Nord" and AO "RED-Nord-Vest".
