About measures for strengthening of social support of pensioners

For the purpose of further realization of purposeful policy on the steady growth of level of the income and welfare of the population, every possible strengthening of care of aged people, increase in the sizes of their pensions, and also consecutive enhancement of system of provision of pensions:

1. Increase since October 1, 2007 the maximum size of the earnings accepted for pension calculation with sevenfold to the eightfold size of minimum wage.

2. To perform the expenses connected with implementation of this Decree at the expense of means of the off-budget Pension fund under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and also, if necessary, means of the Government budget.

3. To provide to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the population of the Republic of Uzbekistan timely recalculation of the sizes of pensions taking into account increase in the maximum size of the earnings accepted in case of their calculation.

4. To the Cabinet of Ministers in week time to submit for approval in Legislative house of Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan the changes in the Law "About the State Provision of Pensions of Citizens" following from this Decree.

5. To impose control of execution of this Decree on the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mirziyoev Sh. M.
