About lease

This Law governs the relations arising in case of the conclusion and execution of lease agreements of natural resources and property. The law provides such reorganization of the public relations which would promote creation of opportunities for effective use of the earth, other natural resources and property in the national economy, to strengthening of interest of labor collectives and certain citizens in development of production and improvement of product quality, more complete satisfaction of social and other needs of citizens.

Section I. Lease

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Lease

Lease represents the urgent paid ownership based on the agreement and use of the property necessary for the lessee for independent implementation of economic and other activity.

Article 2. Legislation on lease

The relations on lease and other related legal relationship are regulated by this Law and other legislation of the Republic of Belarus.

Article 3. Sphere and objects of lease

Lease is allowed in all industries of the national economy and can be applied to property of all forms and types of property.

Can be leased:

lands and other natural resources;

companies (consolidation), organization, structural units of associations, productions, workshops, other divisions of the companies, organizations;

certain rooms, buildings, constructions, equipment, vehicles, agricultural machinery, stock, tool, other material values;

working cattle.

The legislation of the Republic of Belarus establishes types (groups) of the companies (associations), the organizations and property types which delivery in lease is not allowed.
