in view of historically developed friendship between the people of two states,
being guided by the Agreement on the principles and forms of interaction of the State Parties of the CIS in the field of use of archive information of June 4, 1999,
pursuing policy of mutual openness and availability to archive materials and proceeding from aspiration to mutually beneficial cooperation between archive organizations of both countries,
agreed as follows:
The parties will develop cooperation on the basis of mutual advantage and equality according to this agreement, the national legal system of the states of both Parties, and also international treaties in the field of archiving which participants are the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.
The parties will exchange work experience of use of modern technologies in the field of protection of archive materials and their restoration, experiment on the organization of main types of work in archives, such as ensuring safety of documents, their use, and also archiving informatization.
For the purpose of replenishment of National Archive Funds the documents containing information on history of the people of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan, the Parties represent each other copies of archive documents. Mutual provision of copies is performed on non-paid, equivalent basis, in exceptional cases - on the contract prices acceptable for the Parties.
The parties perform joint publications of archive documents and will organize documentary exhibitions on the approved subject.
