The Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation which are hereinafter referred to as by Contracting Parties

agreed as follows:

I. General provisions

Article 1

1. For the purposes of this Agreement the used concepts mean the following:

1) "legislation" - the laws and other regulatory legal acts of Contracting Parties governing the relations in the field of the state social security, compulsory (state) social insurance and compulsory insurance from labor accidents and occupational diseases specified in Article 3 of this Agreement;

2) "authorized body":

from the Belarusian Side:

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus - regarding the state social security and compulsory (state) social insurance;

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus - regarding medical examination and re-examination of persons for the purpose of establishment of extent of disability, group and the reason of disability;

The Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus - regarding compulsory insurance from labor accidents and occupational diseases;

from the Russian Side - the Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Russian Federation;

3) "the competent organization (body)" - the organization (organization) or body to which implementation of the state social security, compulsory (state) social insurance and compulsory insurance from labor accidents and occupational diseases, including appointment and pension payment and benefits, and also accounting of insurance premiums for these purposes is assigned;

4) "insured" - the persons specified in Items 1 and 2 of Article 2 of this Agreement, determined by those according to the legislation of Contracting Parties;
