In pursuance of the Law N 273-XIII of November 9, 1994 on identification documents of national passport system (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 1995, N 9, of the Art. 98), with subsequent changes and amendments, and also for the purpose of realization of package of measures, the passports aimed at providing enforcement and other travel documents containing additional biometric data, the Government DECIDES:

1. Enact the passports and other travel documents containing additional biometric data since February 1, 2008.

2. To provide to the ministry of information development production of the passports and other travel documents containing additional biometric data, and their issue along with the existing type of passports.

3. Public administration of civil aviation, to the Ministry of information development, Service of information and safety and the Border service to provide the procedure of check/reading of the passports and other travel documents containing additional biometric data.

4.  No. 337 is excluded according to the Order of the Government of the Republic of Moldova of 10.05.2011

5. Provide to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration the international interaction in case of the solution of the organizational matters connected with use of the passports and other travel documents containing additional biometric data, issued in the Republic of Moldova and other countries.
