being guided by provisions of the Agreement on cooperation of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States in fight against drug trafficking, psychotropic substances and precursors of November 30, 2000, the Memorandum of understanding about cooperation in the field of control of illegal production, turnover, abuse of drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors of May 4, 1996, Agreements between the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on cooperation in questions of control over drugs and their precursors of May 6, 1998,

proceeding from mutual interest in acceptance of the effective measures directed to fight against drug trafficking and their precursors including within the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

1. Subject of this agreement is the cooperation of the Parties for the purpose of the organization of effective counteraction to drug trafficking and their precursors within the competence.

2. This agreement does not raise the questions of issue and rendering legal assistance on criminal cases.
