1. Approve Rules of transportation of passengers and baggage by road transport (are applied).

RULES OF TRANSPORTATION OF PASSENGERS AND BAGGAGE BY THE ROAD TRANSPORT

I. GENERAL PROVISIONS

1. The these rules developed according to the Code of road transport approved by the Law N116-XIV of July 29, 1998. (The official monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 1998, Art. N90-91, 581), establish the main conditions of implementation in the territory of the Republic of Moldova of transportations of passengers and baggage by road transport and are obligatory for execution by carrier agents - owners of the license (further - carrier agents), and also the companies, the organizations, organizations and persons using services of road transport (further - customers).

2. Carrier agents act in strict accordance with the existing normative legal acts and international agreements which party the Republic of Moldova is, ensuring traffic safety of motor transport and safety of passengers, environmental protection, culture of servicing of passengers and safety of baggage.

Carrier agents shall have the license for motor transportation of passengers in public concerns according to the current legislation.

3. Public administration road transport is exercised of industry body of the central public management in interaction with bodies of local public authority and other authorities.

Bodies of public management of municipiums are developed according to the current legislation and these rules of the rule of transportation of passengers and baggage by public transport (electric, automobile and taxi) in the territory.

4. Carrier agents can perform the following categories and types of transport of passengers:

a) Categories of transportations:

national transportations;

international carriages.

b) Types of transport:

transportations in public concerns:

transportations along regular routes;

irregular transportations (by request):

- transportations according to one-time requests;

- tourist transportations;

taxi transportations;

transportations for personal reasons.

5. The vehicles designed, made and respectively equipped with manufacturing plants are allowed to transportation of passengers. Use for transportation of passengers of the transport units re-equiped by the specialized enterprises having on that permission of the Ministry of Transport and Communications according to the existing regulations is allowed.

6. For servicing of regular passenger international routes (except for border transportations) and tourist transportations only the buses classified by stars, the body authorized by MST in the Republic of Moldova according to the international requirements are used. On these buses there shall be certificates of classification issued according to Rules of classification of buses by stars.

7. Vehicles on which are transported passengers shall conform to the technical requirements established for each mode of transport and have onboard document package, established by these rules and the current legislation.
