About ensuring unity of measurements
This Law establishes the legal basis of ensuring unity of measurements in the Republic of Tajikistan, governs the relations of state bodies of management of the Republic of Tajikistan with physical persons and legal entities concerning production, release, delivery, operation, repair and import of measuring instruments and is directed to protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, the established law and order, and also protection of economy of the Republic of Tajikistan against negative effects of doubtful results of measurements.
For the purposes of this Law the following basic concepts are applied:
unity of measurements - the condition of measurements in case of which their results are expressed in legalized units of sizes and error of measurements do not overstep the established bounds with the set probability;
gage - the technical device intended for measurements;
size unit standard - the measuring instrument intended for reproduction and storage of units of size for the purpose of transfer of its size to other measuring instruments of this size;
state size unit stage - the size unit standard recognized by the decision of the state body authorized on that as initial in the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan;
regulating documents on ensuring unity state standards, the international (regional) standards, rules, provisions, instructions and recommendations izmereniyprimenyaemy in accordance with the established procedure;
metrological service - set of subjects of activities and the work types aimed at providing unity of measurements;
