About the organization of activities of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan
In pursuance of the Presidential decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan of May 1, 2008 N UP-3993 "About Measures for Further Reforming of Institute of Legal Profession in the Republic of Uzbekistan" and in connection with education based on Bar association of Uzbekistan decides Chambers of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan founded on obligatory membership of all lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Cabinet of Ministers:
1. Take into consideration that:
according to the enclosed organizational structure of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan the supreme body of Chamber is the Conference, executive body - Board, and body of financial control - Audit committee;
the President of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and his deputies are elected by the Conference of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan on representation of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan for a period of five years from among the board members of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan chosen the Conference;
in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, areas and Tashkent the territorial administrations of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the status of the legal entity which are acting on the basis of the provisions approved by Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan are formed;
heads of territorial administrations of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan are appointed to position (from among the lawyers acting in the corresponding territory) and dismissed by the President of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
2. To the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan together with Bar association of Uzbekistan in two-month time:
hold constituent Conference of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, having provided approval of the charter, forming of Board and Audit committee, and also election of the President of Chamber of lawyers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and his deputies;
