About approval of the Regulations on National flag of Turkmenistan

For the purpose of implementation of the Law of Turkmenistan "About National flag of Turkmenistan" and giving of the high international status to symbol of independence and neutrality of the state, unity of the Turkmen people - to National flag of Turkmenistan I decide:

1. Approve the enclosed Regulations on National flag of Turkmenistan.

2. Enact Regulations on National flag of Turkmenistan since February 19, 2000.

Regulations on National flag of Turkmenistan

1. This Provision establishes requirements to color, material, the image and the sizes (appendices No. 1 and 2) of National flag of Turkmenistan * and time, the place and procedure for holding ceremony of raising and descent (prispusk) of the Flag regulates.

2. The panel of the Flag of the primary green color with vertical red and claret strip on which five national gels are represented, white half moons and five stars can be made according to standards of the following types of fabrics:

a) nylon (100%);

b) polyester (100%);

c) silk (50%) and wool (50%);

d) silk (50%) and nylon or polyester (50%).

The flags made of the fabrics specified in subitems "v" and "g" are intended for particular cases.

Requirements imposed to the fabrics and materials used in case of production of the Flag are determined in state standard. The flag shall have the certificate of conformity.

- PANTONE TEXTILE, 1992:
