1. Conduct in Turkmenistan to the period from December 14 to December 24 2000 5 percent selective population census and households (the selective census is referred to as) as of December 14, 2000.

2. Assign to National institute of statistics and forecasting of Turkmenistan and its bodies on places control of preparation, carrying out, processing and distribution of materials of selective census.

3. Approve the enclosed Regulations on 5 percent selective population census and households of Turkmenistan in 2000.

4. To national institute of statistics and forecasting of Turkmenistan to submit within 10-day term on approval in the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan:

organizational plan of preparation and carrying out selective census, development and distribution of its materials;

structure of the Commission on preparation and carrying out selective census;

expense budget on preparation and carrying out selective census.

5. Permit National institute of statistics and forecasting of Turkmenistan to attract for preparation, carrying out and processing of materials of selective census of the citizens working at the companies in the organizations and organizations, pensioners, students of the higher educational institutions and persons which are not occupied in industries of economy of Turkmenistan within the approved expense budget for the specified works.

6. To the Ministry of Economics and finance of Turkmenistan to provide allocation in 2000-2001 to National institute of statistics and forecasting of Turkmenistan of assignments for financing of works on selective census.
