About the termination of use of ozone-depleting substances
According to the laws of the Kyrgyz Republic "About protection of ozone layer" and "About state regulation of foreign trade activity in the Kyrgyz Republic", for the purpose of further ensuring accomplishment of obligations of the Kyrgyz Republic according to the Montreal protocol, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic decides:
1. Approve the State program on the termination of use of ozone-depleting substances in the Kyrgyz Republic for 2008-2010 (phase 2).
2. Form the Interdepartmental commission on coordination of the works connected with implementation of the State program on the termination of use of ozone-depleting substances in structure according to appendix.
3. Impose ban:
- since June 1, 2008 - for import of gallons, except exclusive types of application (civil aviation, military equipment) and the equipment containing and/or using gallons;
- since September 1, 2008 - for import of bromic methyl, except use for quarantine processing of products and its processing before transportation.
4. To the state environmental protection agency and forestry under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic to inform all interested legal entities and physical persons of graphics of the termination of use of ozone-depleting substances in the Kyrgyz Republic.
5. To the Ministry of Defence of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of emergency situations of the Kyrgyz Republic to develop Methodical recommendations about modern methods of fire extinguishing for the fire extinguishing systems using gallons for the purpose of transition to alternative fire extinguishing systems.
6. To the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic to develop and approve the Strategy of transition to the alternative, ozone-safe medical dosed inhalers in the Kyrgyz Republic.
