About rational use of natural gas

For the purpose of realization of the tasks set in the National program of the President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Turkmenbasha "The strategy of social and economic transformations in Turkmenistan for the period till 2010" on further growth in prosperity of the population in the 21st century - the Golden Age of the Turkmen people, the guaranteed free providing consumers with the natural gas which is one of the main national wealth of Turkmenistan, and also the complex solution of questions on accomplishment of contractual supply of natural gas to consumers and its rational use I decide:

1. Approve and enact since May 1, 2001 enclosed:

Rules of supply of gas to the population of Turkmenistan;

Instructions for use gas companies and organizations of Turkmenistan.

2. To the ministries, departments, the companies and the organizations, irrespective of patterns of ownership:

till July 1, 2001 to develop regulations of specific consumption of natural gas per unit of products and in coordination with the State trade corporation "Turkmenneftegaz" to submit them for approval in the Ministry of Economics and finance of Turkmenistan;

provide till September 1, 2001 delivery and installation of metering devices of gas and gas burner devices with devices of automatic equipment of safety and regulation of processes of burning of natural gas at jurisdictional enterprises at the expense of their own means;

since September 1 not to allow use of natural gas on the gas-using equipment which is not conforming to requirements of rational and economical use of gas and also for the purposes which are not equitable to interests of the state and economy of Turkmenistan.
