1. The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus (further - Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources) is republican state body and submits to Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.
2. Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources in the activities is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, other acts of the legislation of the Republic of Belarus and this Provision.
3. The structure of Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources includes departments with the rights of the legal entity, management, departments and sectors.
4. Ministries for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources log in:

4.2. the state organizations subordinated to Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources according to the list approved by Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.
5. The main tasks of Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources are:
5.1. carrying out single state policy, including economic and scientific and technical, in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, and also hydrometeorological activities, ecological certification and environmental audit;
5.2. implementation of public administration in the field of studying, protection, reproduction and rational use of natural resources, including subsoil, waters, animal and flora, environmental protection, and also state regulation in the field of hydrometeorology, ecological certification and environmental audit;
5.3. regulation and coordination of activities of other republican state bodies, local executive and administrative organs, organizations in the field of providing ecological safety, environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, including subsoil, hydrometeorological activities, regulation of impact on climate, and also ecological certification and environmental audit;
5.3-1. implementation of state regulation of activities for geological studying of subsoil and hydrometeorological activities, and also creation of conditions for development of the organizations of all patterns of ownership performing these types of economic activity;
5.4. interaction within the competence with local executive and administrative organs of the solution of nature protection questions;
5.5. control in the field of environmental protection, rational use of natural resources and hydrometeorological activities, ecological certification and environmental audit;
5.6. ensuring preserving and steady use of biological diversity, participation in development and implementation of actions for reproduction of objects of animal and flora;
5.7. providing republican state bodies, local executive and administrative organs, citizens with ecological information, the organization of promotion of ecological knowledge, participation in creation of system of education, education and education in the field of environmental protection;
5.8. implementation of international cooperation, studying, generalization and distribution of the international experience in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, regulations of impact on climate, and also hydrometeorological activities, ecological certification and environmental audit.
6. Ministry for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources according to the tasks assigned to it:
6.1. develops and makes in accordance with the established procedure offers on environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, including development of mineral resources on the basis of monitoring of security of industries of economy with mineral raw material resources and the analysis of the world market of mineral raw materials, regulation of impact on climate, and also hydrometeorological activities for their inclusion in drafts of forecasts and programs of social and economic development of the Republic of Belarus, for development and realization of the main directions of state policy in the field of environmental protection and rational use of natural resources, including in the field of functioning of especially protected natural territories, and also hydrometeorological activities, for enhancement of the economic mechanism of environmental management and environmental protection (including system of forming and use of fund of conservation), systems of normative and technical and metrological support of environmental protection and hydrometeorological activities;
