This instruction is developed based on provisions of the Customs code N1149-XIV of 20.07.2000, article 51 of the Law on National Bank of Moldova N 548-XIII of 21.07.1995 and based on regulations of National Bank of Moldova.

1. General provisions

1.1. The duty-free shops located at the international check points through frontier at the international airports or onboard the airplanes performing the international flights realize goods for Moldovan lei and for freely convertible foreign currency (cash and in travel checks), and also with use of cash cards.

1.2. The legal entity (further - the company) can receive in Licensed chamber the license for activities of the duty-free shop located at the international check point through frontier at the international airport, onboard the airplanes performing the international flights only after issue by National Bank of Moldova of consent to sales of goods for freely convertible foreign currency in duty-free shop (the consent of NBM).

The consent of NBM allows to accept freely convertible foreign currency as payment for the goods realized in duty-free shop.

1.3. This instruction:

a) regulates procedure for issue by National Bank of Moldova for consent to sales of goods for freely convertible foreign currency in the duty-free shops located at the international check points through frontier at the international airports and onboard the airplanes performing the international flights;
