The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

- being guided by basic provisions of the Agreement on bases of the relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Armenia of January 19, 1993, - attaching priority significance to strengthening and expansion of bilateral economic cooperation on the basis of the principles of full equality, neighborliness, mutual advantage and international law,

- recognizing importance of establishing close and fruitful interaction between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Armenia for forming of the favorable entrepreneurial and investment climate,

- wishing to promote entrepreneurial activity of business entities of two countries, irrespective of their forms of business, to establishment and long-term development of business contacts between them,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties establish the Intergovernmental Kazakhstan-Armenian commission on economic cooperation which is hereinafter referred to as with the Commission.

The main objectives of the Commission are:

- consideration and approval of the perspective directions and priority spheres of development of mutually beneficial cooperation of business entities of the states of the Parties, irrespective of their forms of business, in the field of trade, investments and other spheres of economic cooperation;

- preparation and approval of drafts of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements in the field of trade, investments and other spheres of economic cooperation, and also monitoring of their subsequent implementation and coordination of the activities of authorized bodies of the Parties connected with their accomplishment;
