About some measures for enhancement of the organization and further development of works in the field of commodity numbering and bar coding in the Republic of Belarus
For the purpose of enhancement of the organization and further development of works on implementation in the republic of commodity numbering and bar coding in the International system of commodity numbering, providing conditions on forming of nation-wide information base for the automated accounting and control of commodity-transport flows, and also in the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus world market decides increases in competitiveness of the Belarusian goods:
1. Enter since October 1, 2000 obligatory marking by bar identification codes of the goods (products) made by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs in the territory of the Republic of Belarus and exported on which drawing bar identification codes is technically feasible.
2. Approve the enclosed Regulations on commodity numbering and bar coding of goods (products) in the Republic of Belarus.
3. To the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Trade, the Ministry of Economics, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the State Customs Committee and another interested till July 1, 2000 to make if necessary corresponding changes and additions to the regulatory legal acts regulating procedure for the foreign trade transactions proceeding from obligation of marking by bar identification codes of the goods (products) exported.
4. To industry ministry together with the Ministry of Trade, the State committee on science and technologies, another interested till July 1, 2000 to consider the possibility of production in the republic of the equipment for shaped identification, if necessary to prepare and in accordance with the established procedure to introduce the appropriate program of works in Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.
