The government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Republic of Armenia which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties
being guided by provisions of the Treaty of friendship, cooperation and mutual aid between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia of August 29, 1997, Agreements on mutual ensuring safety of interstate secrets from January 22, 1993,
aiming to approve policy in the field of defense, to interact in safety of both states,
being guided by mutual aspiration to development of full military cooperation, and also for the purpose of assistance in strengthening of defense capability of the Republic of Armenia,
agreed as follows:
The Russian side sends at the request of the Armenian Side to the Republic of Armenia the Russian military advisers and specialists.
The procedure, conditions and terms of sending of the Russian military advisers and specialists to the Republic of Armenia, and also procedure of the expenses connected with sending are determined by the relevant contracts signed between the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Armenia.
Together with the Russian military advisers and specialists members of their families can go to the Republic of Armenia.
The questions connected with stay in the Republic of Armenia of members of families of the Russian military advisers and specialists are determined by the contracts signed according to Article 2 of this agreement.
In the time spent for the territory of the Republic of Armenia the Russian military advisers and specialists, and also members of their families are not involved in fighting.
The Armenian Side in coordination with the Russian Side ensures safety of the Russian military advisers and specialists, and also members of their families.
