For the purpose of enhancement of the normative legal basis of activities of Copyright agency of the Azerbaijan Republic I decide:
1. Approve "Provision on Copyright agency of the Azerbaijan Republic" it (is applied).
2. To provide to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic the solution of the questions following from this Decree.
3. This Decree becomes effective from the date of publication.

The copyright agency of the Azerbaijan Republic (further - the Agency) is state body which legal status is equated to the status of the central executive body and performing state policy in the field of copyright, the related rights, intellectual property rights to expressions of the Azerbaijani folklore (traditional examples of culture), topology of integrated circuits, information collections (further - intellectual property rights) and providing normative legal regulation and development of the sphere of intellectual property, and also coordinating this field of activity.
2. The agency is guided in the activities by the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, the laws of the Azerbaijan Republic, Decrees and Orders of the President of the Azerbaijan Republic, resolutions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Azerbaijan Republic and this Provision.
