About jury members in courts of the Kyrgyz Republic

This Law determines the legal basis of participation of citizens in administration of law and the organization of activities of jury members according to the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic.
1. Citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic (further - citizens) have the right to participate in administration of law as jury members on criminal cases in the procedure established by this Law. Restriction of this right is set by this Law and the Code of penal procedure.
2. The citizens selected in jury members on specific legal case take the oath.
3. In the first day of legal proceedings, after bringing of the oath, to the jury member by the court issues the certificate of its attraction to participation in consideration of the case.
Activities of jury members are regulated by the Constitution, the Code of penal procedure, this Law and other regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Consideration of criminal cases is made by court with participation of jury members according to the procedure, established by the Code of penal procedure.
