being guided by the Agreement on coordination of the interstate relations in the field of power industry of the Commonwealth of Independent States of February 14, 1992,

recognizing importance of deepening of mutually beneficial long-term economic cooperation and interest of the Parties in further enhancement and effective use of power supply sources,

considering need of creation of conditions for realization of benefits of joint operation of power systems of the Parties,

in view of positive experience of partnership between the Parties in the field of power industry,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties will develop in every possible way cooperation in the following directions:

production, transfer and electricity distribution;

investment into power;

scientific research, design and construction of facilities of power;

creation and expansion of common information space in the field of power industry and energy construction;

training, preparation and advanced training of personnel for work at the companies of power industry.

Article 2

The parties will develop jointly the concept and the development program of national power system of the Kyrgyz Republic with consideration of possibility of joint construction of intersystem power lines for the purpose of creation of conditions for stable export (transit) of the electric power to the Russian Federation, other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the third countries.

Article 3

The Kyrgyz Republic will provide in the privatization program deepening of integration with the Russian Federation in the field of power industry what the Parties will be developed jointly for:
