Regulations of Majlis of Turkmenistan

These Regulations according to the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the Law of Turkmenistan "About Majlis of Turkmenistan", determine operating procedure of Majlis, its bodies and the officials elected by it.

CHAPTER 1. SESSION OF MAJLIS

Article 1. The session of Majlis includes meetings of Majlis, and during the period between them - committee meeting and the commissions of Majlis. The session of Majlis opens and closed by execution of the National anthem of Turkmenistan.

Article 2. The session of Majlis, the first after elections, is opened and conducted by the chairman of the Central commission on elections and referenda in Turkmenistan. Meetings are conducted by it before election of the Chairman of Majlis.

Article 3. The meeting of the session of Majlis, the first after elections, is held in the following procedure:

a) for check of powers of deputies from among deputies the Credentials committee is elected;

b) on representation to Credentials committee by Majlis the decision on recognition of powers of deputies, and in case of violation of the law "On elections of deputies of Majlis of Turkmenistan" - about recognition of elections of certain deputies invalid is made;
