according to the Concept of joint defense policy of Belarus and Russia approved by the Decision of the Supreme Council of the Union of Belarus and Russia of January 22, 1998 No. 4,

troops (force) and means of the Single regional air defense system of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federatsiiorgana of military management, control centers (command posts), and also the associations, connections and military units of the Parties attracted to the solution of tasks of air defense in the region;
the region - the territory and airspace of the East European region of collective security within which the Republic of Belarus allocated in structure of the Single regional air defense system and the Russian Federation of army (force) and means carry out objectives;
external border of the Union State - border of the Parties with other states within the region;
the threatened period - period during which the threat of armed attack on one of the Parties in the region arose and remains.
