About the state courier communication

This Law establishes the principles of the organization of the state courier communication (further - courier communication), the rights and obligations, forces and means of the body performing it, governs other relations connected with activities of this body.

Chapter 1. General provisions

Article 1. Basic concepts of this Law

1. In this Law use the following basic concepts:

correspondence - the packets, baggage, bales containing the data which are the state secret, and also others office (including unclassified) departures which are subject to delivery according to this Law;

courier communication - set of methods and means which provides operational delivery and the guaranteed safety of correspondence of persons and state bodies specified regarding 1 article 4 of this Law;

body of courier communication - the body performing activities in the field of courier communication according to the procedure, established by this Law;

courier route - the route of the employee of body of courier communication established for delivery of correspondence;

rendering services of courier communication - the activities connected with acceptance, processing, storage, transportation and transfer of correspondence (except for diplomatic mail).

Article 2. Body of courier communication

1. Courier communication is provided by the relevant structural division of the state body authorized in the field of homeland security of the Republic of Armenia (further - body of courier communication).
