This Law establishes the legal basis of activities in the field of the telecommunication performed in the territory of the Republic of Armenia, competence and responsibility of her participants, and also regulations on protection of the rights of users of services of telecommunication.
In the Republic of Armenia the legal relations in the field of telecommunication are governed by this Law.
The relations in the field of television and radio are regulated by the separate law, except for case, the stipulated in Article 24 presents of the Law.
If international treaties of the Republic of Armenia establish other regulations, than those which are established by this Law then are applied regulations of international treaties.
Telecommunication is transfer and acceptance of sound, sign, signal, the written text, image on wire, cable, optical, magnetic, radio - and to other electromagnetic systems.
Network of telecommunication is the system of technical means by means of which the telecommunication is performed.
Technical means of telecommunication are the machines and the equipment used for acceptance, processing and transmission of messages of telecommunication. The terminal equipment are the technical means of telecommunication established in the territory of the user of services of telecommunication.
