About social protection of disabled people in the Republic of Armenia
This Law establishes legal, economic and organizational basis of social protection of disabled people in the Republic of Armenia, basic provisions of state policy in provision to disabled people of optimum conditions and privileges on implementation of their rights and capabilities for the purpose of providing for them opportunities, equal with other citizens of the republic.
The legislation on social protection of disabled people consists of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, this Law, other laws and legal acts.
If the international ratified treaties of the Republic of Armenia establish other regulations than provided by this Law, then agreement regulations are applied.
In this Law the following basic concepts are used:
the disabled person – person who owing to the restrictions of life activity caused by violation of health has need of social protection;
