for the purpose of expansion and increase in efficiency of bilateral cooperation in the field of power and the mechanical engineering which is based on the Treaty of friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan of April 23, 2002, the Agreement between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan on cooperation in the gas industry of April 10, 2003, the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of Turkmenistan on cooperation in construction of the Caspian gas pipeline of December 20, 2007 and also the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of Turkmenistan on trade and economic cooperation of August 30, 2008,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties promote cooperation increase between the business entities in the following main directions:

investigation, production, transportation, conversion, cleaning, storage, sale and use of oil and natural gas;

gidro-and heatpower industry;

energy efficiency, energy saving and use alternative and renewable energy resources;

mechanical engineering.

Article 2

The parties create conditions for cooperation of the business entities in the field of sale of energy resources in the markets of consumption on the basis of the joint long-term program which will be developed and accepted in the first half of the year 2010 and is based on priority of execution of current agreements (contracts) between business entities of the Parties.
