Regulations on qualification certification of judges of courts of Turkmenistan

1. Qualification certification of judges is carried out according to the Law of Turkmenistan "About judicial system and the status of judges in Turkmenistan" and performed for the purpose of improvement of high-quality list of judges, assessment and stimulation of growth of their professional qualification, increase in responsibility for legality strengthening, ensuring protection of interests of society and the rights of citizens and legal entities.

Qualification certification is carried out by qualification boards of judges.

2. Qualification certification of the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan and its deputies is performed by the President of Turkmenistan along with assignment of qualification classes by it.

3. Qualification certification is carried out:

concerning judges of the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan, the Chairman and judges of Arbitration Court of Turkmenistan, chairmen velayatsky and Ashgabat city courts and their deputies - qualification board of judges of the Supreme Court of Turkmenistan;

concerning judges of velayatsky, etrapsky and city courts in welayats - qualification boards of judges of courts of the respective welayats;

concerning judges of the Ashgabat city court and etrapsky courts of Ashgabat - qualification board of judges of courts of Ashgabat.
