About approval of the Regulations on procedure of consular legalization

1. Approve the enclosed Regulations on procedure of consular legalization.

2. To provide to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic informing foreign states on introduction by the Kyrgyz Republic of new rules of consular legalization.

3. This resolution becomes effective from the date of official publication.

Regulations on procedure of consular legalization

1. General provisions

1. This Regulations on procedure of consular legalization (further - the Provision) determine the procedure of implementation of consular legalization.

2. Consular legalization in the Kyrgyz Republic (further - legalization) consists only in the authentication of the signature of the official on documents. The officials performing legalization of documents do not bear responsibility for the content of the documents which are subject to legalization.

3. The documents constituted in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic by competent authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic or with their participation and held for use in the territory of foreign state (further - the documents constituted in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic), are subject to legalization in cases if with requirements of the legislation of foreign state their use in this foreign state provides legalization implementation in compliance.
