The Republic of Kazakhstan, People's Republic of China, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan which are hereinafter referred to as by the Parties
proceeding from general aspiration of the State Parties of this Meeting to expansion and strengthening of multilateral cooperation in the context of agreements on enforcement of trust in military area and reducing the armed forces around border signed by them in Shanghai and Moscow respectively in 1996 and 1997
expressing satisfaction with forward development of the relations of neighborliness, friendship, mutual trust and full cooperation between five states,
adhering to the conventional principles of mutual respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity, equality, non-interference to internal affairs, and also supporting the dispute resolution and disagreements between the countries by friendly consultations,
emphasizing unity of opinions that further expansion and strengthening of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between five states in the spirit of neighborliness and friendship is equitable to radical interests of their people and is important positive factor of stability, safety, development and prosperity in the region and in Asia in general,
considering important role of large-scale economic cooperation in consolidation of the regional world and stability,
in view of the growing influence in Central Asia universal tendency to forming of structures of multilateral coordination and cooperation,
following the results of this Meeting declared as follows:
1. The parties will take all necessary measures for ensuring strict agreement performance about enforcement of trust in military area around border of April 26, 1996 and the Agreement on mutual reducing armed forces around border of April 24, 1997 and again emphasize importance of regular consultations with the purpose of discussion of the course of accomplishment of the mentioned agreements.
