The government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Armenia which are hereinafter referred to as with the Parties

for the purpose of elimination of technical barriers in economic and trade relations between their countries,

expressing the aspiration to develop cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation, product quality control and the environment on the basis of the international standards ISO of series 9000 and 14000, of consumer protection and ensuring confirmation of safety of mutually delivered goods,

being guided by the principles and rules of international law, within the legislation existing in both states,

agreed as follows:

Article 1

The parties mutually recognize the operating state (national) systems of standardization, ensuring unity of measurements, certifications and accreditations.

Parties:

mutually recognize in the procedure approved by the Parties results of the state testing, approvals of type, checking, metrological certification of measuring instruments and the organization which carry out accreditation of testing and test laboratories and centers, and also the laboratories and the centers performing checking, testing and calibration of gages accredited by them;

recognize accredited bodies on certifications, testing and test laboratories (centers), certificates and marks of conformity of other Party on mutually delivered goods in the collateral order determined by the bodies specified in Article 5 of this agreement;

recognize the certificates of experts-auditors received in the international and national systems of certification recognized by the Parties;

apply regulating documents on standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation of other party if their requirements do not contradict the established procedure entered by national authority on standardization, metrology, certification according to the current legislation of the state.
