About machine-readable entry in the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation

1. Item 9 of the description of the form of the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation approved by the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 8, 1997 N 828 "About approval of the Regulations on the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation, sample of the form and the description of the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation" (The Russian Federation Code, 1997, N 28, Art. 3444; 2006, N 52, the Art. 5596) to add with paragraphs of the following content:
"Machine-readable record contains according to the requirements and standards shown to machine-readable travel documents, the main information which is available in this document: surname, name, middle name, birth date (number, month, year) of the owner of the passport, sex of the owner of the passport, series and passport number, subdivision code which issued the passport, date of issue of the passport, and also designation of document type, the state which issued the passport, nationality of the owner of the passport.
Rules and method of forming of machine-readable record are established by the Federal Migration Service in coordination with the interested federal executive bodies.".
2. Determine that:
a) the passports of the citizen of the Russian Federation containing the filled zone of machine-readable record are issued since July 1, 2011;
b) concerning the passports of the citizen of the Russian Federation which are drawn up till July 1, 2011 without filling of zone of machine-readable record the terms specified in Item 7 of the Regulations on the passport of the citizen of the Russian Federation approved by the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of July 8, 1997 N 828 are effective.
