The State Parties of this Convention on behalf of the governments (further - the Parties),

recognizing need of consolidation and concentration of efforts for carrying out researches on the priority directions of sci-tech cooperation,

for the purpose of forming of the legal basis of creation and functioning of the international research centers and the scientific organizations,

being effective according to the international practice, the relevant international documents, recommendations of the UN, UNESCO, the ILO and the Agreement on creation of general scientific and technological space of the State Parties of the Commonwealth of Independent States of November 3, 1995,

agreed as follows:

Article 1 of Determination

For the purposes of this Convention the below-provided terms have the following values:

the international research center (further - the Center) intergovernmental organization, territorially and organizationally combining scientists and specialists of state members of the Center for carrying out researches on specific scientific and technical to the problems which are of mutual interest to state members of the Center, and acting on the basis of the intergovernmental agreement about creation of the Center (further - the Agreement), and also its Charter:

the international scientific organization (further - the Organization) - the intergovernmental organization created for carrying out the approved scientific and technical policy and coordination of activities of the national scientific organizations of these states on the separate priority directions of sci-tech cooperation which are of mutual interest to state members of the Organization, and acting on the basis of the intergovernmental agreement about creation of the Organization (further - the Agreement), and also its Charter;
